REFERENCE
GUIDE
The
site of the FOROEUROPA online Magazine is organized
in such a way as to allow an easy retrieval, by both
experts and laymen, of the documents and information
included in the various thematic areas.
In fact, notwithstanding its utmost significance, the
EU law is still a new subject, and one needs to have
access to a few basic coordinates to delve into it.
The FOROEUROPA Magazine tends to limit as much as possible
the said obstacles and, even for clear popularization
purposes, is designed to permit an approach to this
subject even to those who get in contact with it for
the first time.
Jurisdiction
Area
The Jurisdiction Area includes the maxims, as well as
the unabridged text, of all the rulings of the Court
of Justice, the 1st Degree Court, and all the other
European and National (having EU interest) jurisdictions.
It may be inquired into in various ways.
The contents of the Magazine list in chronological order
the small titles of all the maxim-related rulings from
01.01.2001, which a reader, in case of need, may get
out both the maxim and the unabridged text.
A special link in the contents includes a selection
of the rulings that are deemed most interesting by the
Editorial Staff.
The search motor allows the retrieval from the Database
of all the published rulings, having recourse to a number
of search channels:
. Issuing body
. Subject
. Essential elements of the provision
. Words included in the text of the ruling or in the
maxim.
With a view to facilitating the reader’s task,
it was deemed advisable for the listing of the subjects
to be as close as possible to the classification adopted
by the Court of Justice or the 1st degree Court, notwithstanding
a few changes designed to keep the partitions more in
keeping with our legal culture.
Doctrine
Area
Both the debate issues (leading articles of the Director
in charge) and the doctrine articles and notes may be
referred to through a search motor that provides for
a search by:
. author
. full text (words included in the article).
Documentation
Area
All the sundry documents selected by the Editorial Staff
(normative deeds, rulings and communications of Community
and National Institutions, and the relative preparatory
deeds) may be retrieved searching for:
. issuing body (in case of an Institutions) or author
(in case of an individual);
. full text (words included in the text).
Topical
News Area
The dynamic news section is designed to offer a sort
of synthetic preview of issues, subjects and rulings
that are deemed of interest and that are going to be
dealt with in the following issue.
Events/Meetings
Area
The Editorial Staff purposes to highlight in the Magazine
those conventions, meetings and other events having
Community-wide relevance, giving a timely synthesis
of the issues to be dealt with at both a scientific
and an institutional level.
All the documents included in this area may be retrieved
according to the same search arrangements provided for
the documentation area.
External
Relations
This is not only an hyper-textual link to the sites
of community-wide interest, but also a real “window”
giving the utmost visibility to the role that the Magazine
intends to play, through its external relations, as
the motive power of debates and the place for cultural
exchange and in-depth review.
